Artist's Statement
Expressive and gestural are the works that I create,
Formed with a lofty vision and a careful hand
Color and value seek each other as lost lovers—
Texture is their favorite child.
What the hell am I writing about?
The purpose is the experience, not the product
What do they want from me?
I can't be the perfect artist I'm supposed to be!
I put my hands into images. I stir them up.
I am not unique. Everything has been done before.
What is the point of doing it all over again?

This poor robot has been smashed to pieces, perhaps intentionally, and reaches desperately for help. Interesting, his legs appear undamaged. This is probably because they likely aren't the primary target if you're smashing a robot (best to take out the torso with all the electronics) and because the hip, being heavier, took the brunt of the fall when he toppled over. They are, however, twisted at odd angles, which may indicate damage to the joints.

Aah, never mind trying to justify this. Just enjoy.

This is the second in a series. I got bored while waiting for files to copy and decided to do another. Here's the other. This drawing consists of ink, paper and a couple minutes, whoo!
