I didn't Photoshop it. I moved my computer so I could take a picture of my desk behind it and adjusted it until it matched from this perspective. Then I set it as my desktop image and took a picture from the right place to make it look transparent. Really it's just an image on the screen.

Haha very nicely done - I saw a video one a while ago where a guy got a cup of coffee from behind an iMac - it must take some serious trial and error to get something like that right.

Yeah, the video must have been pretty difficult to get right!
But mine was fairly easy. I just closed my laptop and took a picture of the desk behind it, which I aligned by eye and cropped in Photoshop. I took only two shots of the final setup. I suppose the alignment and color could match better, but I didn't feel like doing it over again...
